Sabres fans, the long-awaited start to the 2015-2016 season is officially upon us. Last year was tough to say the least, but as we learned, patience pays off. Jack Eichel has found his place in Buffalo, and boy, are we happy to see him!
Over the past 45 years, the Sabres have made their presence known in the playoffs, heading to the Stanley Cup Finals twice and making a total of 27 playoff appearances. Unfortunately, we’ve yet to see the Cup raised in the Queen City.
But don’t despair. With the Pegula’s in charge, they will stop at nothing to get us the title that we all so desperately want. Take a look at the Sabres website if you’re not convinced. When you arrive at the homepage, you’re greeted with a banner that says “Next Chapter.” A next chapter for the Sabres, and even more so, for the city of Buffalo.
With fresh, young talent and a laser-focused coaching staff, it’s hard not to be excited for what’s in store this season and down the road. I think it’s safe to say that the enthusiasm and confidence surrounding the Sabres organization is unlike anything we’ve experienced in recent years, and you can bet that the First Niagara Center will be a menace to any of our opponents.
To get you ready for the upcoming season, let’s take a walk down memory lane and look back at how far we’ve come over the past four decades!
