Ronald.com was a kids website with fun games, activities, and much more featuring Ronald McDonald and his friends. The site was created in 1998, three years after the internet became public. It was shut down in 2014, and the server now links to the Happy Meal website.
History
Ronald.com launched in 1998. It would be one of the very first kids websites ever created for the then fairly new internet. On the site visitors could do a variety of different things such as fun games, activities, education, and facts.
In 2000, the website received its first update, to coincide with Ronald McDonald changing his look from the french fry bag jumpsuit, to the new one as seen in The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald. The site would remain this way until 2006, receiving little changes only to the Happy Meal section and to some games. There were four main links to click on while browsing the site: Ronald's Playplace, Hamburglar's Hideout, Birdie's Treehouse, and Grimace's Garage.
In 2007, the website would be updated once again; however, with McDonaldland phased out years prior, Ronald is the only character to be seen.
